South Wales Beaches

Just a quick post, back from a trip to South Wales earlier in the year, and some photographs for a possible open-call.

Newgale Beach to start with, on a very moody day.

The lighting was rather peculiar, and we ended up resorting to mainly using phones, as the lens on our SLR was becoming a bit too manked-up with salt spray.

Rather better weather a few days later, and a trip to Tenby.  The rather nice restored Lifeboat Station.  I (Ben) am old enough to remember lifeboats launching from here, on childhood holidays.

The palms and the coastal fortress give it a rather more Caribbean vibe.

Down on the beach itself.

Lifeboat lanch, to resucue some teenagers who'd got into trouble off the adjacent beach... nice a day as it was, the sea was deceptively cold, but luckily the unfortunates were rescued.

In the end, we didn't go for the open call with these shots, but it was nice to go back to doing some seaside landscape shots, something we've not done for a while.
