Last of the pre-Christmas pics, a trip to Whitby. We'd not been there before, but a quick winter visit for an afternoon in generally decent weather gave us the opportunities for a few shots.
The sea was pretty calm when we parked up to the north of the town...

Down to the seafront and a close-up of the waves breaking on the shore.
Then into town, and some nice decorative tilework on a shop...
Then up the steps to the ruined abbey.
Suppose this is a must-visit for tourists in Whitby, but we only had time for a quick walk up then straight back down again.
So that was Whitby- only a quick visit, but scope for a return and a more in-depth photoshoot in the near future.
