Trains on the Mainline

Just a short update tonight, as everything else is still in editing hell at the moment.  So some pics from today, a little trip out to get some railway photographs.  The B1 class loco had been visiting the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for their gala (pictures to follow in a forthcoming blog) and the loco was heading for York on a slightly rainy day, though the only bit of sunshine all morning at just the right time...

The pictures were taken from a newish location for me which I found during a recce for another shoot (and a post on that visit will be forthcoming too).  Though looking like a trespass shot, it is entirely legal, on an old level crossing where the drystone wall projects out worryingly close to the line, enabling some cracking low-angle shots.  The rain is a little more obvious above...

Finally (though chronologically out of sequence, as it arrived before the steam train) a quarry train from Grassington.

Hopefully the editing will be done soon on the mass of other pics and artwork that needs uploading...
