Having posted earlier in the year about our contributions to the Bradford Open exhibition at Cartwright Hall, we thought we'd also post some pics from the Junior Open. We did mean to post these sooner, but they were also on the memory card which was lost in the summer, and we've only just found and downloaded the pics...
The call for the youngsters was to produce some pics of animals in the style of David Hockney, who (in his Birthday year) is somewhat dominating the local art scene.
The pics show the various entries by The Childs into the show, which was nicely displayed, with a lot of excellent work in the main room of the gallery. It was very nice to see work like this prominently displayed in a major gallery, and The Childs were very taken with their first gallery show.
Back outside, and a couple of quick shots of the Hall... An excellent venue for the Open, hopefully they'll host it again (its every two years, though this year seemed a bit short notice, and in a smaller space than usual. Rumours persist that this might be the last year of it for a while, which would be a shame).
