We decided to take a bit of a break from blogging after Christmas- we still did a few projects, had some shots published, and took part in some exhibitions however. Anyway, back into it now, and we kick off with some slightly random shots from a bungalow in Anglesey.
We have family on the island, and more moving there; we took the opportunity to document the period features of their new place before the rebuilding and decorating started.
Vintage plug socket and cooker controls.
Tiles and cupboards.
Very retro ceiling. Interesting to see what details come and go out of fashion.
Not a feature that came with the house, but an old clock that's been in the family for rather a long time, and fits in rather nicely.
Unusual light fitting.
Glass wall. We hoping that we've persuaded the new residents to keep this feature, it's nice and eye-catching.
OK, so it's perhaps a bit of an odd project, but having effectively taken January off as a break, it was nice to get back into the swing of things with a few days of snapping items around the house. Plus, it's interesting to note what comes into, and goes out of, fashion with interior design, and record these now. The bungalow has been un-touched for years and is something of a time capsule. It will be interesting in years to come to see what, if any, of this stuff becomes popular in home stylings once again.
