A farmhouse at St.Davids

A short post tonight, one we'd missed putting up earlier in the year, from our trip to St.Davids, South Wales.

The old farmhouse we stayed in was lovely, and from a model-makers perspective, had a wonderful variety of materials and textures to photograph as visual reference.

How we wish we had room for something like this at home, for using as a workshop...

Every night seemed to feature an eye-catching sunset, so we made an effort the last couple of nights of the holiday to get some pics around the house.

Suitably spooky, and the effect improved by getting Younger Child to go round turning on random lights until we got the effect we were after.

Funny how you usually can't get a sunset like this when you actually want one for a shoot.  Still, it was a nice end to a busy week back at the time; it had been a very enjoyable holiday, with a lot of opportunities for photography.
