Devils Bridge, October 2022

Whilst in Wales at Half Term, we paid a return visit to the waterfall at Devil's Bridge, in the hills near Aberystwyth.

We'd been in the summer, where the heatwaves meant there was little water in the river.  It was rather better this time around.

It was quite bright up in the sky, but a tad gloomy down in the valley, but that's what we were after; good conditions for playing around with doing some long-exposure pictures.

Down the steps; it not being the local half-term holiday, the area was quiet, so for half an hour or so we had the place to ourselves.

We've not had chance for any shots like this for a while, so it was fun just to have a play, and try out different settings on our DSLR's (Elder Child included, who we were teaching the techniques to with her own new camera).

Back up to the Vale of Rheidol railway station for lunch, and ample opportunities to see some of the local population of Red Kites flying around overhead.
