We paid a somewhat-delayed return trip to Blackpool in early December (we'd planned to go back in November, but a miniatures shoot Ben needed to do got in the way). Having done a run to the illuminations back in October, we'd always intended another go with The Childs as more of a family evening out with a bit of photography, as opposed to a straightforward photoshoot visit.
Arrival for a bag of ships at Cleveleys, and a beautiful sunset.
Whilst we waited for it to get dark, we had a stroll along the front here, so this blog post will feature Ben's photographs. The next one will be Amy's night shots at the illuminations themselves.
We were quite taken with the slightly alien-like atmosphere of the place and the architecture, which Elder Child informed me had seen the place used a filming location for one of the Disney Star Wars series.
Usually you can't get a good sunset like this when you're out on a shoot, so it was nice to have the opportunity for a walk and some pics in such an odd place. Next time, Amy bulks-out the 'Light Trails' shots she took in October...
