We moved out of the holiday house, and with it being the weekend of the Goth Festival (and with Younger and Elder Child both having gothic leanings) we thought we'd pop back into town for a few hours.
This seems a good place, then, to have a post on the greyscale shoots we did around Whitby.
The idea was to get pics for an open call Amy was doing, on the theme of Noir. The Abbey and its environs seemed to suggest a suitably spooky location for the shoot.
These were the sorts of pics Amy was after, really high-contrast shots with a blownout, white sky.
Amy was accepted into the show, on the strength of these images.
All things considered, despite the stormy weather, it was a great holiday. Leaving aside the family fun, it provided a hell of a lot of opportunities for photography.
